  1. The radiator tank physically split open and peeled back I am just asking should I be looking for a new engine? or what damage should I be reviewing for if I want to fix it?
  2. Hey I have a 88 Wagon just in from Montana Radiator tank is split from upper hose down the tank about 6-8 inches, it peels away like a banana. car ran right after popping back through the intake what other damage should I be looking for? Or would I be better off just doing a heart transplant?
  3. I would agree with the other board members jy engines are cheap, and quick. Head gaskets on ea81 are truly simple. But if you are set on using some additive CRC block seal works it is a liquid glass and copper mix it does work but it takes a chisel and hammer to seperate engine parts once it sets up.
  4. thanks for the info so far guys I truly appreciate it !!!
  5. question what would it hurt to put a new radiator from a turbo xt into a pushbutton 4wd dl wagon? only reason is it is new and free and I need a new radiator in my wagon as it is going to AZ. any comments suggestions?
  6. It is a pulse dampner and has little or no effect on the overall operation of the vehicle just remove and replace with new hose. It will be just fine, fuel pump is not an involved issue.
  7. I don't remember if this year came with a cat.. but what you describe sounds like a plugged catalytic converter as I had one the car would start fine, but within a few minutes the back pressure was so bad it would eventually die. Might be something to check.:-\
  8. Nice To Know It Will Work Having A Good Working Ea-81 Is Kind Of Fun But Never Thought Of Putting Into Ea-82 Bay! Mileage Sounds About The Same As My Carbed Ea82 4x4..... Cool
  9. Sounds like water pump to me my wife's xt kept loosing water in small amounts over time and finally the water pump started pissing. I would recommend a replacement. just my 2cents
