    I really appreciate the advice. I will probably switch to the 10w-30 weight Mobil One, or Amsoil, as it doesn't get too cold in eastern VA where I live. Thanks again.

    Have a new 2004 WRX Sport Wagon. Using 5-30 Moblil One oil. Have "used" approximately one half quart of oil in 2000 miles on 2 successive occasions. Normal??? What's the problem. Need suggestions.
