  1. Ive used Krown, Heard nothing but good things about it. I use it on my 94 Turbo sedan and shes mint. Its not hot when they apply it, but its very viscous so it creeps into spot weld joints and seams very well. I usually pull the door sills, trunk panelling and some grommets then ask the guys if they could spray in those areas as well. That and Counteract Electronic rust protection apparently works very well.

  2. you might want to swap in a Legacy turbo EJ22G (AKA EJ22T) from a 91-94 Legacy. ALthough most think their the same as the N/A models infact they are completely different: The EJ22G has a fully closed deck shortblock, its casted using a much different and higher density aluminium from N/A EJ22's. Crank bearings are shot peened, all internals are forged, except pistons which are pressure cast (stength lies in between cast and forged pistons). There are oil injectors to cool bottoms of the pistons. 8:1 compression ratio. The heads have differnt oil journals and fittings to send oil to cool the turbo. The EJ22G was built stronger than any current day wrx.

    Mark,

  3. no way an XT hoodsoop will do you any good. You need atleast a 2.5RS or WRX scoop. Otherwise you'll just be creating an interheater. Also the XT hoodscoop, just like the Legacy turbo scoop was never designed to force air around the turbo. Instead they act as chimneys when in traffic or parked, to allow smoldering hot air surrounding the turbo to vent up and out of the engine bay, in hopes of keeping underhood temps lower.

    Mark,

  4. I'm not french Canadian. but I'm just wondering whether there are any other Canadian voices here?? Seems like Subaru mecca is down south in PA, VA, NJ etc, along with out west OR, WA. Hence most of the members are from there. Seems its a little quiet up here, especially when neat old soobs are constanly coming up for sale down south. Up here, well, I had a look in all the yards, found an xt, gl hatch.... I still havn't even seen an RX in my life yet. Its way too quiet for an old school fan here, looking for company.

    Mark,
