  2. Thank you for the quick reply. I have 154K on my car. I've been look on the web for a Knock sensor but having little luck. Do you have any sugguestions. Also, about how much should the part cost? Thanks again!! TY
  3. Hello all. My 1998 Outback Wagon failed inspection with a Knocking Sensor error. I found this thread: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35633 and I might try to replace the sensor. My questions are: What would make the sensor fail/trigger? Is the sensor a one time use and there for need to be replaced? Could an out of balance front wheel cause the sensor to fail/trigger? The engine still runs great so I'm wondering what could have set the sensor off. Thanks in advance for all your replies! TY
