Thanks to anyone who reads this!
I bought my Subaru with 39K miles and have not done anything to it except brakes and tires. I have just hit 90K and am curious if I should replace the timing belt. I have done this on other makes (Dodge, Ford) but never on a Subaru. I tried to do some research on this but havent found good advice yet. Just curious to know how hard it is on a Subaru, any tricks I should know about, any special tools I need, or if anything other than the Water pump should be replaced since it's apart. Does anyone know what the recommended time for a new belt is? I never got an 01 manual for the car so the one I have been reffering to is from 99 and it says 75K but as I was looking for info I heard it wasnt till 100K.
Like I said any help on timing belts would be greatly appreciated. As if this needs to be replaced I would like to get this done ASAP since I drive up to Vermont to ski often and I would hate for something to go wrong in my travels. Thanks again!
