  1. Along the developing trail of failing parts on my Subaru appears to be my Fuel Pump, but I have a diagnosis question. When I disconnected the harness to the pump and checked the power with a volt meter, power was only present during the starting operations. When the iginition was in the on position no power was present. As for the source of this issue, the car starts great, but tends to sputter and die when running unless you continue to pump the gas. Anyway, if anyone has experienced this previously I would appreciate input as to the no power when the inginition is in ON position, but car not running. Thanks, JKLEE
  2. Still using the stock sending unit, but there is a second port that was used to install the manual gauge line, which runs all the way into the dash. As for the 0 pressure, I believe that falls back to Subaru must be crazy...or something like that. Thank you all for the help... Any thoughts on adjusting the shift point for the Auto Tranny? Here there is I believe more potential to be gained from my EA82. JKLEE
  3. After a little study I have determined a low oil pressure problem is going to probably start to cause me problems. Once my EA82 in my 86 wagon is warmed up the pressure drops to about 15 psi per my aftermarket gauge and zero by the factory gauge. The car is an automatic, but it does not seem to matter if the car is in gear or not. Is this common? What might cause this? Further, in line with some of the threads about manual shift points, this Automatic is shifting at about 3500 RPM and is very light on the power. Is there a way to adjust the shift point for the automatic? Is there a good tech resource for this type of adjustment? Thank You All, JKLEE 86 Wagon
  4. With the intake gasket is it necessary to place any sealant on the bolt head or threads? Leeboy
  5. Evening, I am a new member to the forum with a 86 Loyale and suffering thru a few aged car issues. While reviewing the failing emissions and carb rebuild, I have discovered a coolant leak in the intake manifold. The leak appears to be coming from the bolt that locks down the drivers side intake manifold and the fuel line support. This bolt is on the inside of the manifold adjacent to the coolant ports and the threaded hole might tie into one of the coolant chambers. So my concept/question is...Is it possible for the intake to leak around this bolt or should this be considered an omen that a new intake is in my future? Leeboy
