anyone have any pictures of old subarus lowered and "street racer" looking??? in perticular a gl sedan?? i cant decide what i want to do with my GL . . . off-road look or lowered racer look i MIGHT be interested in selling this car. im not sure if its what i really want. although i am quickly falling in love with it. but i thought id throw that out there ... maybe i can get enough for it to get what i really want ... not sure what that is ... sale would be pending on me finding a car too. this is my car. awaiting a new look. off-road or racer?? tell me what you guys think! and post some pics if you got 'em

ok i got a clutch kit at action auto in shoreline for $114.how do i put it in? i have a chiltons repair manual. but how do i get to the dang thing!? someone mentioned taking the engine out!!! i dont think i could do that ....

really? its that easy? i thought it would be harder to get one. thanks. anyone local know of a place to buy one tho? or a place on the internet that has fast shipping?

ok i just got a 87 Gl sedan ( 2wd ) and it needs a new clutch. so i thought id go buy a clutch kit and put it in myself ( with the help of a few friends ) two problems: i dont know where to get a clutch kit. websites? local shops? ( north seattle ) i dont know what kind i need. - thanks for any help!

oh ya did i mention we got this car for $100 haha my dads a pastor. someone donated it to our church. so i got a gooooood deal.

sweet i live in lynnwood actually. i just say im from seattle. i think its a 4wd but im not sure. it drives like a 4wd. ya its a 5 speed. could you tell me more about lifting it? i think thats the first thing im gunna do after i get a new clutch. also - know a good but more importantly cheap place to get the clutch replaced??

Ok. I turned 17 last friday. My parents bought me a car, a 1987 Subaru GL - 2WD - 5 speed manual - 4 door - new engine - GREAT condition. Belonged to an old lady who hardly drove it My ultimate make it an off road monster. Ok so here is what I would like to know: Most common Cons with this type of car? Most common Pros? How do I lift it? Is that possible for a few mechanically minded teenagers to do? I need to replace the clutch (possible for a few teens to do?) What is usually done to this car? What should I do first to achieve my ultimate goal? Good place online (or local-Seattle) to get parts? Anything else you think i should know? I'm only 17 dont assume anything.
