  1. so i desperately need help with this strut on my brat as i need the brat out of my friends shop this weekend...

I put a jack under the strut and jack it up putting the cars weight on it and no compression.

i put spring compressers on the springs and it just compresses the springs and if i put them on the top and bottom it just bends the sturt at the top, bottom or middle.

    Is my strut completely shot???

If it is, is there any way to get it back on anyways and would it be safe to drive for a short distance????

    THANKS!

p.s. yes i pounded the bump out to clear room for the strut

  2. so i had everything on my brat for my lift and am putting the lower ball joint back in and the strut on the driver side of my brat will not compress... any ideas? do i just need to bite the bullet and buy a set of new ones? or did it spin and lock or something?

  3. ok so this may be a really dumb or obvious question but....

I have an 82 Gl wagon with a EA81 and if i check the oil level while it the engine is cool and has not been driven in awhile it shows full

but if i check it at the gas station it shows it needs a quart

Which one do i go off of???

    I am running synthetic oil

  4. So over the last couple days I have putting a 5" lift on my 86' brat and it is coming along nicely. The back is done except for the brakes and the shocks. I have the front lowered and ready to block it. Where the heck does this anti-pitch adapter go?

  5. So i was able to get my hands on a set of 15" pugs but i am missing 4 of the lug nuts where can i get a set? the pugs came off the 505 model. Also i am getting ready to lift my brat. It is a bit older and has not been taken very well care of before it got into my possesion, should i replace the cv's, bearings, joints, and struts while I am at it? With this 5" lift wat size tires what be best considering power and more clearance? Thanks!

  6. So i have an old 86' brat that i want to fix up but am limited on the funds and so i would have to do much of the body work myself but i have very little knowledge on how to do most of it. My friend though has all the sanding equipment and i was wondering how much work is it to sand down a car and remove a substanital amount of dings dents and holes. And is it possible to just bondo most of them before priming? Or what would be the best method?

thanks any advice would be greatly appreciated
