  1. My 2000 outback drivers side window has a bad motor. thing is this happend with the window almost al the way up. I am good with my hands but know nothing about working on car doors/windows/ect. got the door panel off easy enough. but that is where i get stuck how to i get the motor out or at least can i manualy force it put the window all the way up till i can get a new motor. but would realy like to know how to take it all apart diagrams and pics are a great help as that is what i am use to when working on jet engins. Thanks In advance
  2. Thanks for the informatin everyone. ill move forward with your sugestions and report back when i have something
  3. thanks for the infor i know the recall was done in december on my car. could the sensor still be bad (makes sence) what would happen if i unpluged it? can i check it with a digital multi meter for proper voltage?
  4. can i get the vacum gauge at an auto shop and what should it read. also now that is is warmer the car periodicaly starts and stops. and will run rough for a minute before is smothes out.
  5. I have low milage and the idel looks like it is about to die at stop signs. it is on that last line of the tach some times belowe it. when i start it up in the morning and turn the heater one is has a strang smell almost like exsust with a sweatness to it. but it goes away after it is warmed up. the dealer i bought it from did the head gasket thing to it and the from o2 sensor recall to it. i have put in new plugs and fuel filter, air was good. the air box is cracked but seams to seal good anyway. the crack is before the filter in the air flow by the drivers side mounting bolt for the air box. nothing i leaking on the ground that i have seen and i have been looking. i am more woried about the low idle than the low milage at this point. and i havehad the computer read and their are no codes to speak of other than the idle is low wich wasnt a code.
  6. I am having the same problem 13 mpg and hesitation do you also have a low idel at stop sings?
  7. temp guage looks great, just took a road trip got mid 20s on the interstate at 75 mph but in town it drank the gass fast 13 or lower new plugs new air and fuel filter no codes low idel at stop down to 300 rpm and hesitation when accelerating. issues with idle are more promonint when the engin is warmed up.
  8. Thanks for the info what i have done so far is new plugs and putting in a new fuel filter today air filter on tues when it gets in. dont have auto zone here cost me $100 to have the codes read and the sensors put on a multimeter to verifie they are within speca also have 160k onthe car I just bought it a month ago and it is the first subi or for that mater the first import i have ever had. i love it other than the milage. ill keep you posted as to how its going also anyone know where i can get a diagram of the vacum hoses IT seams to have the idal and hesitaion issues worse after it warms up.
  9. i am getting around 13 mpg in town and 20 on the highway the car was coded and nothing bad their but the care idles low and has a hesitation. the front 02 sensor was replaced per a service recall or something like that. any idea what to look for? IT is an 2000 outback wagon with cold weather package lsd and 2.5 engin non turbo.
