  1. Thanks boys for the good help. You wouldn't believe the wrong advice I received from some sources who should know better. For example WRONG:"right side of wheel well under the body putty on floor of cargo space!!" WRONG... Also WRONG:"behind passenger side paneling" WRONG..I found the 6 pin white plastic receptacle behind Driver's side (left) side panel. I tested it with voltmeter first and it contains all the correct signals AND 13.2 Volts Battery lead. I bought a Hopkins "Hoppy" # 43855 Isolator unit and the wire labels are the same. Haven't put it on yet as I haven't yet found a path way through the floor to the underside of car. ADVANCE Auto parts got the hoppy in one day from their warehouse. Also, I had the hitch put on by U-Haul as my dealer advised that. He said they could do it better and used the same hitch as the dealer would. Ha-Ha LoL !! The instruction sheet with the U-Haul Hitch said plainly "Lower the Exhausts NOT THE MUFFLERS" (two mufflers) The black guy doing the job ignored that and it took him 2 1/2 Hours for a 30 minute job. Can't blame him for thinking so as it looks like a cinch to lower the mufflers but that won't work. So be forewarned, fore-armed.
  2. Need to know where the tail light and brake light harness is located and how to get to it. Anybody know the name or number of an Isolator Unit for adding a trailer light receptacle? I think an electronic isolator is best used. Anybody with experience on this installation?? The auto parts stores leave Subaru out. juelbedwards@webtv.net
