Im running a Harbor freight 8000lb. Its the same thing as a MM only cheaper. Its a bit overkill.

I had thought of that so i took apart a 5 speed D/R. There is no way to flip the diff in the tranny that i could see. If some one dose I would like to know how.

I have a HF 8000# for my wagon. i got it 2 years ago and it hasnt failed me yet. its slow but works great. It picked my sprint straight up a tree on the third winding. its way more than you will ever need for a subaru.

I have some video of the brats and some of the other cars that I will send ya if i can find out how to get it on the computer.

We got my car drivable today after about a week of working on it. We did a bunch of stuff to it: home made 6 inch lift, 6 lug conversion, 31/10.5/15 tires, home made rear diff hanger, home made lower A arms, samuri T-case with lower gear set, and some more stuff that I am to tired to think of. I think it looks pretty nice. What do yall think?

The convertion to rear disk is not that hard. They show you what to do in the Ultimate Subaru Repair Manual. Matt could probably be a bit more helpfull because he did his.

Even with a stock sammy t-case there is some reduction in high range. Worked great in my old 84 wagon.
