  1. Bump, I'm still freezing my nuts off. Does anyone have any noob-friendly suggestions? From what I can tell the blower works, its the heating part that is broke.
  2. Thanks, I'll have a look at everything listed. Yes, the readout on the panel is digital and the "increase/decrease temperature button" are simply an up and down arrow button. However I'm a car noob and have no idea where to find all these things. Wheres the best place to start?
  3. Cable controlled? Its an electronic panel, not the dial type. Or am I thinking something different? The fan does have different speeds, depending on the mode you set it at. it does seem to go at all speeds, it just doesnt move a lot of air. To compare, I jumped in my buddies familiar tonight and turned on his heater, the difference, just in the amount of air that comes through is huge. Seems something isnt right in my car.
  4. Hey All Ever since I've had my baby, her heater hasn't worked. It blows air (not very well mind you), but even when cranked up to 36 degrees or whatever the max is, even after a half hour it only barely heats up enough to defog the windscreen. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Blown fuse or something more complex? Legacy 91 GT AWD Turbo Wagon. Thanks in advance. P.S. It's not cold enough to freeze water (at least I don't think it is) and the thermostat stays comfortabley in the middle after a bit of driving.
  5. I don't have a OBD2 scanning tool or the original manual for my car. :-\ I doubt it's a exceed 100 km/h thing, as it doesn't always come up when I hit 100 (which I do fairly often ). It is a possibility though, so I won't rule it out just yet. Is there anyway I can read the codes without the OBD2? I heard you can get the car to blink out codes via the CEL? I have a Hayne's manual, which gives me code listings/meanings, if that helps? Thanks for the help so far.
  6. Hi All I've noticed that the CEL comes on at around 100 km/h randomly for a few seconds, but goes away when I decrease speed or sometimes just turns off whenever it feels like it. Does anyone know off hand, the possible cause of this? And/or how to remedy it? I read somewhere it could be a corroded battery ground connection at the engine. I have a Hayne's car maunel, but stuffed if I could find the connection, in the manual or engine bay (bit of a car noob). Thanks in advance.
  7. Haha, I'm such a noob. What I sighted was the intercooler. Guess it's a Singler Turbo then. I'm learning about cars.. mmmk? Yes, I'm in NZ, North Island, New Plymouth (far west) She guzzles petrol like you won't believe. I checked the Air Filter and it's pretty grubby, so figured getting a new air filter might help a bit. Any other suggestions? I've been using Premium (because it's turbo?) based on a few recommendations. Is that a silly thing to do, should I be using just standard gas?
  8. I was told it was a Twin Turbo Version. It has some insane pull and amazing power when you put yout foot down, so I don't doubt it. It's defintely a Turbo (Hood Vent and Turbo Inside the Engine Bay), and Is definitely a GT as it is badged as such on the rear of the vehicle. I'll take a photo tomorrow and post it up, if you're all that keep to see it. Unfortunately the paint's not in the best of conditions (was like that before I had it), but it runs incrediblely well (apart from guzzling petrol like it's going out of fashion). Thanks for the replies so far. Anyone know offhand how many litres my wagon is or how to find out? I also found this one, which seems to be a closer match, maybe? http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/performance/basket.php?makeid=31&modelid=502&year=1991&partid=5&brandid=1268
  9. Hey I'm after a new Air Filter for my 91 Legacy GT 4WD Tubro Wagon. I specifically want a K&N filter, as I've heard they're really good. The closet match I could find is this one: http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-19453.cfm Would this fit my model wagon? If not, can someone link a K&N Air filter that would fit my car? Also as a side note, what does the GT part mean? - I'm a bit of a car newbie. Thanks Faith
