impreza outback sport, 2001, manual trans., 40,000 miles.

My check engine light has come on and off three times now. Each time the light comes on is when the car is being revved over 4000rpms. Then after 3 or 4 starts it goes out. Is this something to worry about? Thanks -Bryan

2001 impreza outback sport, 5spd, 41,000miles. I've been experiencing a sort of rattle sound at certain rpms when accelerating and decelerating. Tried whacking the exhaust and shaking stuff around without any luck. Anybody had this before?
