  1. a good tune up is the way to go.also exhust gasket change be carefull alum heads and steel bolts i would soak them with wd-40 and hopefully just the nuts come off leave the studs in the heads but take you time and you will be fine. I had to replace my cat once
  2. very possible we drive in a lot of snow and rain to you could get water into the air intake.
  3. and remove your seats front on legacy any way and center console
  4. i have a 91 5mt ej22 did the same thing like legacy 777 said dont touch the stop screw it will only make matters worse and more expensive clean the I.A.C. also make sure the seal between the iac and intake is good. mine was not. fixed it with some gasket sealer.
  5. It could be a fuel pumprelay getting bad or fuel filter i would replace the fuel filter first especially if you like most of us run our tanks down low.
  6. Im glad I found this again!Took a while but I have a Question for anyone who may be able to help me....The blower motor runs with the switch off and when I turn on my headlights my hazards glow and my fuel guage reads full, I have done alot of calling around including the subaru dealerships in my area with no avail!Ive looked at any books that I thought could help! Studied almost all my electrical components and could see nothing that might cause that!So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Im also wondering if anyone could tell me the specs on 91 ej22 subaru legacy alternator! Thanks for your time!!
