Thanks for the imput. I will try and get to it this weekend. I will post how things worked out.

When I put the steering fluid in, it runs out the side of the rack as I back out of the driveway. I can squeeze the boot on one side and the air comes out the other side. The seals are shot I would assume.

I getting parts from a 86 GL wagon and using them on my 91 Loyal wagon. I would like to swap out the rack and pinion because mine is shot! Are there any tricks or special tools that I need to know about? Will this work? Thanks!

How about the glass? I am most interested in the rear hatch window. Maybe I could just switch the whole hatch? Would that work?

I have a 1991 Loyal wagon and need a new rear window, headlight, rack n pinion and wheels. I have a chance to buy a 1986 subaru wagon (GL, I think) parts car and wondering if the parts are interchangeable? Is there a site to find out this information or does anyone know? Thanks, Kididaho in CA
