  1. Ok I have a 1997 Outback wagon that needs 2 front steering knuckles. What years and models can be used? It seems that any ABS car should fit Legacy or Impreza, but what years? Does anyone here have any available?
  2. Ok I have a 91 Legacy 5 speed and am looking at a 97/98 Outback 5 speed with a bad transmission. Will the transmission from the 91 work in the 97? I may be able to get it cheap. I did a search and could not dig anything up relevant.
  3. I believe ford offers some dual fuel on some models. Propane converison is releativly simple. You genrally do not get much HP improvement, but it does run cleaner. I drove a Schwans truck that was propane powered it was a GMC, but converted from gas. Ford offered one that was Propane from the factory. In europe Propane is much more popular due to tax advantages. VW TDI motors seem to take Propane very nicely. On a normal spark ingnighted motor, you get around 80% or the power you do on gas.
  4. Ok I am looking at a 1996 OBW that has had a small colision in the front right corner. The fender has some minor crumpling. The big issue is that the lower control arm is bent. I have a 1990 parts legacy in the garage and was wondering if the control arm is the same. I know the springs and struts are diferent but not sure about the control arm. I thought I read that the suspension is interchangeable. The rest of the car is good, and has about 138,000 miles.
  5. My understanding is that the full synthetic it is made by Havaloine (sp?) and is not modified from the normal Hav. forumla. Many folks I have spoken to like Havaloine as second best avalilabe (in stores) next to Mobil One (big step above SynTec). I have never had any problems with it and it is now avalible in 10W30 "formula for older cars" that I am going to try in my Subie after my next oil change. I think any of the "blends" are a waste of money as you do not get all the benifits of syntheic.
