  1. Hello, i have a same year impreza, however mine is just a regular ol impreza L. If i am reading this right, all i have to do to add a bit of hieght and more importantly in my case ground clearance is replace my struts with outback or forester struts. some insight would be awesome. no hijack intended
  2. ok so now shes back to the whole hesitation thing, and recently i've noticed a nice whistleing sound when she revs over 4k it climbs in pitch till the shift then quites down again. Since my last update I've cleaned the maf and done the whole sea foam thing, the pcv valve would not suck the sea foam through so i ended up pouring some in while the car was off into the valve opening, got a lot of smoke initially but alost none after the whole 5 minute wait then drive around portion of the procedure. any info would be rad, thanks in advance.
  3. well, i replaced the first filter that is right befor the maf almost immediately after i got the car. the problem never started untill i replaced the second air filter. and even then it took some time, based on some replies i am starting to think its an airflow problem. i recently checked the price of maf's and i am hoping to god that its not the problem.
  4. Whats a maf? the check engine light came on for a little while after i replaced the second filter that is right next to the intake. It doesnt lag all the time, usually if i stomp the gas at a stop it will lag but not quite as bad. i've found that letting it roll forward a few feet befor hitting the pedal usually helps the lag or completely eliminates it. the lag didnt start immediately after i replaced the filter, it took a month or so befor it started lagging
  5. Howdy I bought my first (working) subie last december and its been a blast, since i got it i've replaced the stock air filters with k&n air filters. recently it has started to lag a little when i am starting, it acts like i am not giving enough gas when i let off the clutch, but its an automatic. anyone know what might be causing this? I have also been thinking a bit about lifting it, anoyone know where i can get a lift kit for my new roo? any advice would be much appreciated, thanks! heres a pic
