  1. I'm not near the car... What size is are the rear speakers on a 96 Legacy Sedan 5 1/2 ?
  2. Ok -- I can get the boots from Subie North Houston... Thanks man -- you're on top of all of this!
  3. I did the front brakes -- new rotors & pads total clean up & lube -- awesome Ordered the front drive axel -- I need both boots for the steering rack -- should I just order those on-line or?? Concerning timing belt, seal kit and water pump -- should I get all of that directly with Subie or??? Thanks, Scott
  4. Im in the middle of a job where can I get a parts blow up on front caliper and or a manual to help me
  5. Ok -- wow Let's talk about brakes then -- they are real bad Buy the parts from ? __________ I think I'll start with the front and worry about the rear later ----------------- What about struts -- The original ones are still on Buy them from ? ____________ Thanks Again...
  6. Are PBR out of Cali ok $20.95 each Auto Parts Warehouse --Online Pads $27.95 Or should I just hit a local auto parts store??? ------------ I have a torn steering rack boot -- They have one for like $15 ------------------- Constant Velocity Of Ocala Inc. Have CV axels for $55 -- Thanks for help in advance guys!!
  7. These brakes have been poor to ok at best on this car since new Disc front and drum rear Now 220K on car and the brakes are grinding so it's time for rotors etc. Please give me some advice on where I should buy these parts -- I'm North of Houston. What should my approximate cost be to buy these parts and put them on vs. taking to a shop? I realize that you don't know all the parts that I need. Should I go to Napa or or? ----------- I just left a local KWIK KAR shop to get my yearly inspection and I asked the guy what he'd charge to put on a CV axel and his quote was like $350: Then he said maybe I could find one for less and he'd put it on for $65 --I fould one for $55 so !! I think if I showed up with new discs & pads he'd put those on as well - for a decent price Sorry to ramble on -- Thought -- Advise
  8. Moab! I'd love to take my KLR 650 over there... Ya Colorado agents SHOULD have a subie ... The Texans would know that I knew good rigs if I was driving a Subie though. Actually, the AWD is sweet when one is on the slippery roads rain etc.
  9. Any of these look like a good deal? http://motors.shop.ebay.com/items/Cars-Trucks___subaru_W0QQLHQ5fDistanceZ77318Q2eQ2e100QQ_nkwZsubaruQ20QQ_cqrZtrueQQ_flsoZ1QQ_fposZ77318QQ_fsptZ1QQ_nkwuscZsubaraQQ_sadisZ100QQ_sopZ7 I like the Impreza & Forester low milage ones I hope that I can post this here? I'm sorry if I can't!!!
  10. Depending on the client I can use differect rides. My wife has a Murano, I have a Kawi KLR 650 and the 96 Legacy. I've shown up on my KLR and the client is riding his Harley or whatever... I like the Subarus though -- I could do a Honda, Toyota or whatever. Just pondering all of this...
  11. You said that you have one. I'm in Texas though -- not many subies down here. There's a guy who posts here -- he's a moderator? He's in Houston... Perhaps he can chime in here as well. How many miles on the one you have and how much would it be to buy and get down here? I'll probaby need a CV axel too the driver side is making noise and the boot is in bad shape. I think the pass side was replace once. What is recommended for this replacement? I appreciate everyones help!
  12. I'm seeing mixed opinions her on this rack. I don't want to attempt this job myself so I'll need to use a mechanic. Which way should I do this? Like I said, one shop wants $600 to rebuild the rack and re-install w/warranty:confused:
  13. For $1000 +- I should be able to get the steering rack, drive axel and some other goodies fixed. It would be nice to get 300K+ out of this legacy. What is your opinion about rebuilding the one that's on it now -- I was told it's better than an after market one? The Rack I was quoted about $600 to rebuild including labor w/warranty!
  14. My wife has a Murano (really nice) so I can use it sometimes. Frequently, I'm the navagator and I ride with my clients. Lots of following each other too! I'm looking for a deal at this point... My 95 Astro AWD is almost dead...
