  1. Thanks for the info Skip. I will get pictures up as soon as I can. I might have some that the previous owner sent me. I'll check on that. I have to say, she is a beauty.... I haven't even thought of a carb upgrade, I will definately look into that. I'd love to swap the engine out, but at the same time I don't. There are 3 swapped cars at my house already, and i feel like that takes away from the daily driver/no nonsense aspect I have in mind for this car.
  2. Hello everyone. Just thought I'd introduce myself and make myself a known active member. I'm from Maine, where there is a very active Subaru enthusist scene; http://xsorbit27.com/users5/subarutunersofmaine/index.php I have just recently purchased an '83 GL wagon. It is the oldest car in my driveway and almost the cleanest car. I was beside myself when I was crawling around it, to find no rust. NONE. My intentions for this car was nothing more than cheap, reliable transportation. Now I'm slowly planning on making it offroad capable. I am trying to do this as cheap and smart as possible, since this is an old car that I paid little for, and I can't justify spending lots of money in it. I want it to remain a daily driver, but have the ability to take it out on some class IV and V roads and the occasional offroad park and trails. Any pointers and/or recommendations you guys can give me would be great. I'm still learning lots about this EA81, and I'm still lost at times
