  1. Valve lifter noise

    I have a 98 Legacy GT w/auto with 52,000 mi that I bought new. I've noticed increased lifter noise (I think) particularly at startup. Don't know if this car has hydraulic lifters but they are getting pretty noisy. Anyone know if I should take it in for valve adjustment or do they normally not need service? Thanks in advance, Mick
