  1. If you had to sacrifice the HHO benefit during boosted operation, it would not be the end of the World. You'd still have the HHO for all the other times, which are probably 90% of the miles most of us drive. Low-pressure check valves? One thought though, I've seen a big unit on a diesel truck. That obviously has to deal with a turbo, so maybe on the intake stream can work after all. About pressurizing the cell: I think that the process will die under pressure, kinda like how boiling is delayed until a higher temp... Just my theory.
  2. Well Sir, I commend your leaning, and I DO know the difference. Although I have been a lifelong Republican, they have abandoned me. So, Libertarian is the only sane choice. I consider Benedict W. to be a traitor, though I voted for him twice. As a kid, I read "Monkey Wrench Gang" about 4 or 5 times. And you are correct, the Govt & Big oil are Effing us big time. And I stopped watching TV about 15 years ago. But I STILL want to run my car & yours on water, and I think it is doable. So, if you will forgive me for mistaking you for a Liberal, I'll forgive you for mistaking the globe as warming, and we can talk stainless steel & electrons. Fair enough?
  3. "Global Warming", "Carbon Footprint", "Climate Change".. Buzzwords of Useful Idiots. Useful to the pigs who want to strip every good thing from society & put us (and especially U.S.) back into the dark ages and on our knees. How arrogant of them to think they have such power over the planet & its workings. It makes me livid that-in the age of ULEV Hondas, Fords, etc that literally leave the air behind them cleaner than they found it-these donkeys continue to wring their hands & demand a blood sacrifice. If you are one of them, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. But, I doubt you can get past your mental disorder (Liberalism) long enough to see it. About HHO: I am very very interested in it. If anybody figures out how, please share it with me. I do not delude myself that I will Change the World, my interest is purely selfish: I want to save money. I drive 150 to 200 miles a day. Oh, one more thing: The Globe is NOT warming. That is a fact.
  4. Hmmm Sounds like the motor for me. Anybody know how I can get on in (or to) the U.S.?
  5. Does this engine have a special designation other than EA81? EA81 HO somehow sticks in my mind, but it could be a figment of my imagination, its been about 10 years since I read about it.
  6. I may be senile, but I remember reading in a homebuilt airplane magazine years ago about an HO pushrod motor installed in Japan-market trucks that came with special heads and maybe some other parts. They said it had dual ports, and made more horsepower than the car motor. Anybody know what it was called, and where I might look for one?
  7. I know I am running the risk of being shot at sunrise.. I beg your indulgence. I have an old Saab I wish to re-power. I have decided Subaru power would be the best, but I have little knowledge of the various models, so I humbly ask you Gurus to help me with some advice about which year & model motors are best picks, which to avoid, and pitfalls to watch out for. I'd like about 100 HP. A pushrod motor would fall right in, an OHC would take a bit of cutting. Carbureted, EFI, or Turbo all considered, pros & cons sought. I will look for a used motor. Great horsepower is not a priority, just economy & reliability. I want tall gearing, as I have just 1800 lbs to move, and I drive a lot of freeway. I will want A/C. I will need gearbox advice too. I would consider 5 speed or auto, but I have very little room for the transmission. I would like to have the option of adding Rwd later. Are there Subaru transmissions that will let me drive without the rear driveline in place? Thanks in advance, can't wait to do this thing!
