  1. hey my AC is working fine , all the mechanic's that I go to , told me that, I put another electric fan on the condenser, to improve the gas cooling (I use R12 ) it does not help to much, there isn't any leaking gas the car does not overheat at all , do I need to make a cleanup to the water radiator ? it will help? the car is 87 GL sub EA82 hitachi carb, 4wd manual.
  2. why do you want do do that? to make more millage? my advice to you is to keep the clutch fan in its place. make sure that the electric fan is working properly, and thats all. if you have some problem like lake of power, the answer is to rebuild the carb an change fuel filter and spark plugs as well. if everything is working properly don't tuch/ do not count the electric fan, the subbi needs 2 fans ' cause the engine is unusually sensitive to heat.
  3. hey all:) I was wondering what is the top speed ( while the cars were new) of those two cars A brumby 1600 , with no extra changes with the original engine and carb (like it came from the factory). A GL wogon 1800 EA82 hitachi carb . lets say they both 5 speed manual, and another brumby with 4 speed manual thanks 4 the help
  4. unfortunatlly in my country, this swap to an EJ engine, it is forbidden:( I won't pass the test and I need to do the test every 6 moths insted of 12 months:( well thants and good luck:)
  5. let's assume that I get an EA82 injected , with turbo. the engine code is still EA82? or is it EA82T? the transsmition can deal with that engine power? DO I need special CV joint? and make some big changes? Or I better exchange it to an EA82 MPFI . lets face it , the 1800 carb is not powerfull, especially after 22 years...:-\
  6. hey , I have an 87' GL wagon 4WD manual. with hitachi carb I want to put a turbo, inside, it is possible? in any way? I think maybe to put the turbo after the carb' I cann't exchange the original engine because in israel the EA82 turbo or the injected , are not common at all, only a few 1800 carbed, thank you all

I write to you what are thr reasons ' I have the haynes manual of the car 1.air fillter clogged 2.fuel not reaching the carburetor or fuel injection system 3.corroded batarrey connections ' especially ground. 4. faulty coolant temperature sensor or intake air temperatue sensor 5. carburator or choke problem good luck:)
