  1. My wifes '95 legacy 2.2 starts rough. Harder when cold, but chuggs almost all the time. No codes........... We changed out the Coolant Temp Sensor in hopes that was it.......... no change. Once it's warmed up and shut down, it starts fine. Head scratcher
  2. I have a leak in a relativily new radiator in the 95 Legacy 2.2. At the tank/core interface. It only leaks when really cold and never when warm. The radiator pressure tests fine. Apparently this is a common problem with plastic tanks joined to aluminum??? My question is ............. are there any stop leak preps that are good. Recommendations??? Thanks
  3. Haven't noticed any rad fan issues. I have wondered about there being a temperature sensor that would tell the computer when to apply additional fuel. Would that be the coolant temp sensor? We've done the fuel thing, it's have a few tanks of fuel through it since this showed up. Added Heat and some other additive/inj cleaner.
  4. I won't buy another Subaru until they get the MPG's up!! How about a diesel?? AWD is great but 26 MPG???
  5. I like that a lot. No need to improve. Even the color rocks. I'll take two.
  6. The battery is great. It's like it isn't getting enough gas.
  7. Drill a hole in the plug, insert a puller with screw in puller chuck and have at it. Or, drill a hole in the plug, insert a toggle bolt and pull on that. I try to avoid prying on the edges at all costs. Use a heat gun before the pull
  8. Forgot.............. no check engine light so no apparent codes.
  9. My wife's '95 Legacy 2.2L has a cold start problem. After sitting overnight in sub freezing temps it starts really hard, and when it does start it chugs a bit. Then it's fine. When the temps are freezing or above it's not an issue. The car has new plugs, new plug wires, and we just put a new fuel filter on. What do you think????
  10. It does seem to be more prevalent when it's cold out. I'll take a look at tying it back when I next see the car.
  11. Fantastic!! Thanks for the pic! That appears to be the same location as the older Subs button.
  12. Water pipe located and acquired. thanks for all the help it was great.
  13. Yes, she can't get out of park. I have seen the bypass in other year models. But there is no bypass button on the shift console on this one. And she has no owners manual... :-( Where is the bypass button on a '95 wagon?
  14. My wifes '95 Legacy with auto has had a problem that seems to be getting worse. When she pushes in the button to move the shift lever back she hears a loud solenoid click. And now and then she can't get the shifter to move back. Seems to be getting more frequent. What is causing this?
  15. I have emailed the following link to my wife for part ID to be sure. It is labled as "water pipe". Is this the one you guys are talking about?? This one is new and only $133 new........ better than the local dealer to be sure. http://fargovalley.hondasubaruparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=215050&chapter=&Sectionids=0,2308&groupid=51823&subgroupid=3817&componentid=0&make=32&model=Legacy&year=1995&graphicID=7521045&callout=17&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0
  16. OK Thanks!! I'll talk it over with her and we'll let you know ASAP.
  17. Thanks Guys................ I haven't seen the part yet myself. I'm out of state. Appreciate the pic. I am still concerned as to why her's rotted.
  18. My wifes 95' has a "water pipe" made of aluminum that has started to disintegrate where the radiator hose attaches. The local dealer wants $260 for one!! Plus another $20 for the 2 O rings needed. The dealer called it either a water pipe or crossover tube. Any ideas on a better source to get one?? I am hesitant to get a used one. If this one is rotting away I would imagine it's a common problem.
