picked up an ;85 subaru wagon cheap. needs oil pump work was running with no pressure for a while. some opinions on engine damage would help. i've heard they can take alot of abuse. thanks, lunchbox

just bought my 4wheel dr wagon with 211000 miles on it. sometimes i have oil pressure sometimes i don't. i've heard subarus can take alot. i'm getting ready to replace o rings and seals, gasket on my ea82 but would appreciate help before i tear into it in 8 degree weather in loveland colorado . are there any other members in this area? thanks, mike phelps

i've heard a subaru can take a beating. i abused mine trying to get to the va hospital in denver colorado in 5 degree weather. i'd like peoples opinion before i work on in 7 degree weather tempurature right now in loveland colorado. thanks

i'm new to being a subaru owner. bought an older subaru cheap. does the '86 EA82 gl have hydrolic lifters? i can't seem to find the info i need anywhere. am in the process of rebuilding the oil pump. it lost oil pressure over heated and froze up. later it started rightup and ran just low oil pressure did i kill or not hav been told yes and no. mike phelps
