  1. My problem is not the relay. I took a hammer and hit the fan motor a few times with the switch turned on high. It took about 10 hits but the fan started blowing. I hope I just had some dirt in it otherwise I bet it will stop again! Then it will be new fan motor time:mad:
  2. There are three relays above the fuses and they all look identical. Does anyone know which one is the fan relay? I will see if I can figure it out by turning the fan switch on and off as the relay does click when I do this. Thanks for the help.
  3. I have a 1997 Gt and my blower quit working on Friday. It happened when I turned the AC on. It was fine on my way to work. All fan speeds are out so I also think it may be the relay. The fuses are good. I did notice that a relay? is clicking just above the fuse box when the fan switched is turned on. I don't think this is the relay I want, though as it sure does not look like the ones I have found on auto parts sites. I will also check on the left side of the steering column tomorrow and post what I find.
  4. Thanks. I will give it a shot! Dang I don't like using a torch hear the back of the car!
  5. I also have a seized rear wiper. It stopped on me and I tried to remove it but could not. Now I understand how to do it. I did notice that my wiper motor was very hot and I unplugged it. Could this mean the motor is bad or that the wiper shaft is seized and the motor got hot trying to move the arm but couldn't? Thanks.
  6. Hi All, I have a 1997 Legacy GT Wagon. I attempted to replace the rear brake pads this AM but was stopped by a stuck caliper bolt. I also have never seen a caliper that uses an allen head! As soon as I put the socket on the bolt, it began to round the bolt head. It seems that the previous owner bungled the bolt head and the allen head. I sprayed with PB Blaster to soak, tapped with a hammer and tried to gently get things turning but to no avail. I may give up at take it in to get done, but dang I could do this for $20 myself if I can get the caliper loose. Any suggestions other than heating with a torch? Thanks.
