  1. Thanks Josh, I sorta thought that as I went browsing part listings at 1stsubaruparts, the prices didn't line up. (btw, is there an online site that gives OEM part numbers?) Looks like I have someone looking at buying it tomorrow and I sure hope they take it. Damn shame it they don't, as it's great car with only 184K km's., but lifestyle changes (ie baby/maternity leave= less cash) are forcing my hand. If there's any fellow Nova Scotian's looking for a good car, get in touch. Or anyone for that matter. I take the insurance off of it Monday and will prob. part it out. Parts in last 1.5 years alone include, shocks, battery, alternator, rad, axles, tires and rims, ball joints, crank pulley, etc. It is a very sad weekend indeed. Looks like I have my summer project lined up. Thanks again.
  2. Hello, I have a 1995 Legacy L FWD Wagon Auto and a 1990 Legacy AWD Sedan Auto. Both have the 2.2l engine in them. Would the parts be an exact replacement (ie, starter, alternator, rad, shocks, etc) I could get off of the 1990 for the 1995? I think it's worth more stripped for the 95 then it is to get its "value", assuming everything is interchangeable. Thanks, Freakus
  3. Thank-you. I knew they had the same bolt pattern, but the owner's manual for the 95 refers to a size 14x5J, while the 90 says 14x5.5JJ. Could this be a 'universal" five bolt pattern?
  4. I was wondering if anyone knew if the stock steel rims from a 1995 FWD Legacy L Wagon will fit on a 1990 AWD Legacy L Sedan?
  5. The swap that you did, are the parts you mention related? How?
  6. Ooops, looks like I'll can't have to set up a web page?
  7. Could you tell me more about this Josh? Being a person who just pays for work done on their car (but trying to learn more), are these all item you mention related?
  8. Well, I'm torn. It is a great car, and I would love to have AWD. The problem is, up here in Canada, they tend to run quite high in the price range. I could get a 1998 AWD Brighton for $7900 CDN with 186,000 Kilometers. It just seem so much for so many km's. I have 183,000 Km's on my 1990, the way I see it I'd be paying $7900 for a "body". I do love AWD though. I will go and get my mechanic to look at it tomorrow and if all goes well, it looks like I will buy it. Tell me, does the FWD 2.2L engine still have the same "bulletproof" rating? As well, is there anything in particular that I should be aware of with FWD in this era for upcoming problems, etc? Thanks,
  9. Good-day, I have a chance of getting a clean 1995 FWD Auto Legacy Wagon. This car has never seen winter and has only 55,000 kilometers on the engine. I now own a beater 1990 AWD Auto Sedan. It needs too much work for what I'm willing to spend. I need a new car and am seriously considering this car. Looks and runs great, drives as new, and it's is $6000.00 CDN Any opinions?
  10. Thanks......BTW, I did get my MVI passed...just went and told another mechanic that I replaced the bulb. He was happy with that. Interesting thing was the first guy said it was just the left-front side blinker that was not working. I should have dared them to get the right one working too, if I didn't think that I'd be cited for two not working. Makes me think how did he ever actually see the right one working, only to fail the left?
  11. Would this applies to a 90' Canadian Legacy AWD Auto Sedan. My looking/finding this thread these last few hours has been a great help. I Failed my safety for these not working. The owners manual that you (Legacy777) have made available refers to them as "combo" lights. What would be the "combo" part? I thought turn/park signal? If not, then what? Hey, I'll be very happy hearing they're not signal lamps.
