  1. Sorry I didn't see sooner. I just did my clutch, Exedy 15001, Amazon.com $66.44, free shipping.
  2. So is that E-vap or E-V-A-P hose? It'd be nice to be able to sound intelligent even if I can't act that way. Thanks everyone for their suggestions. Miles, I didn't know Jason Lee drank PBR.
  3. 92 Loyale 5spd 2wd EA82 Can't find it anywhere. Any suggestions on what to use? My hoses are shot and I'm looking to replace them all. Help? Thanks.
  4. 92 Loyale EA82 2wd non turbo 5spd I just wondered if anyone knew for sure that the cv axles for auto and manual are the same. For my car, 2wd. Thanks
  5. Thanks everyone for their input!! I returned the clutch set to Autozone, and will be ordering one off RockAuto.com, the Exedy set if available. Also calling local Subaru dealer for a new rear seal.
  6. Thanks. I'll clarify about the throw out bearing. The one I received in the kit is just a bearing doesn't include the shaft that the retainers clip onto. If the bearing is suppose to pull off that shaft it's real stuck. clutch kit Part # NU31019
  7. 92 Loyale 1.8 w/o turbo 5 spd SPFI FWD I bought a Durlast clutch set from autozone and I'm having a few problems installing it. First, the new pilot bearing won't turn at all by hand, even after I installed it and using the weight of the flywheel. Is this normal? Second, the clutch release bearing needs to be pressed on/off of a housing. I thought it was suppose to come as one piece. Third, there is a small needle bearing that I don't know where it goes, didn't see one come out during the uninstall. Any advice on this install would be great. I cocked the rear main seal when I installed it (buggered it while fixing it), so I have a little while till the new one comes in. Anyone know where to get the tapered o-ring between the p/s reservoiur and pump? Thanks again for any help.
  8. well i got the leak on top fixed, but there's some other leak onto the exhaust that steams up. any thoughts?
  9. I have a coolant leak on top of the motor. 92 Loyale, non-turbo. coolant pools on top behind where the EA82 is stamped. I can locate where it's coming from, but it gets worse with more rpm, the leak starts in the middle and moves towards the #1 plug, so it doesn't look like it's the thermostat. I see a small hose from the thermo housing to the intake, but it doesn't appear to be it. I hope I have to start just pulling and inspecting things. It's driving me nuts, I'd like to go home for thanksgiving, but with this problem I'll have to wait and see. Thanks for anyone's help.
  10. :-\so spring compressor... yes or no? I have to do mine, 92 loyale wagon tomorrow, and need it to go smoothly.
  11. I have not bled all the calipers. I have the rear shoes to put on, but waited till today when I get the new rear struts and can do it all at once. Thanks for the advice on the bleeding order. I don't know why but I can never remember left from right on a car:-p it's from as if you're sitting the the drivers seat...correct?
  12. I replace front rotors too. but I didn't loose the brake fluid cap when i compressed the piston, and when I opened it acted like a vacuum:( ....but I did have the valve stems open....
  13. :banana:Thanks guys. got it done, but now the brake pedal is soft:confused:, and have to pump it a couple times to get it to firm up and stop.....I did bleed the brakes!! I'll try it again tomorrow when it's light. could it be anything else?
  14. :)thanks, i'll try that, but when i was trying before the caliper wouldn't swing up
  15. :mad:well doing a brake job on my 92 loyale and can't seem to figure out how to get the caliper off:confused: bolt on the bottom and nothing on top. really would like to get that done today, even in the rain. I'm sure you've all posted enough, but to me every time I try to post, it's like a scavenger hunt to find the post button...or whatever:mad: Thanks for your help in advance. I'm replacing rotors too, they have lots of stress fractures:grin:
  16. I was wondering has anyone swapped a backseat out of a wagon into a sedan. It would be handy to be able to lay down for extra storage. Just curious if anyone has done this, and how they did.
  17. Well I got the connector today and installed the new coolant temp sensor. It looks like it took care of my hard start problem, and it sounds like it's running better. I moved the air intake and noticed there was fuel all the way back to the air filter. Hopefully this takes care of that problem too. Thanks for everyone's help.
  18. I checked the ohms on the one in my car right now and there is no resistance. that's why I came to the conclusion that it probably needed to be replaced
  19. My starts like your description of not liking to start when it's warm. I bought a Dorman part #85850 connector, that might work. but I'll let you know if it does.
  20. Thanks. there aren't many good j-yards around here, closest u-pull yard I know of would be spaldings in spokane.
  21. Now the question is: Can I use a sensor designed for a turbo on a non-turbo motor? I found that I can buy a Bosch fuel injector repair connector, Dorman/Motormite part number 85850 to wire it in, but then I'm not sure how to tell which wire goes where. Any more help would be great. Thanks.
  22. You are correct. I got the first one and needed the last one. When I ordered it there were no pictures, and I supplied my VIN to make sure it was accurate, AND they're a subaru dealer but they still got it wrong! WTF? So since I can't return it, I have to rig something to make it work. I am very, very disappointed. I may have well paid the extra $20 and got a cheapy that I know is right from Schmucks.
  23. Hello, This is my first post. Well my 92 Loyale (EA82, 2wd, 5 speed, w/o turbo) starts up cold fine, but after it's warmed up I have to hold the throttle open to get it to start back up. I've read that this can be caused by the CTS being bad. Long story short, I ordered a new one from Subaruparts.com, part # 22630AA000. It seems to be different than the one on it. I was wondering if this was an improved version. the main problem is that my wiring won't reach the new sensor. So I need help figuring out how to wire it. Thanks.
