  1. Sorry for the late reply. No "M" that I can see. Any more info would be great. Thanks for the help so far. Curious what everyone thinks these are.
  2. Ok update here I have added a couple more pics to the album. Crank pully looks fine to me (im not an expert) but I took some better pics. Sorry everything is in a dark shed right now. Both motors only have the letter b stamped into the pistons. I am unable to see the other side with out some significant rearranging but so far both pistons on both motors are the same. The 71 does have the two ports on top (uploaded pic for that too). I hope that helps answer some questions!
  3. Ill try to answer some of these. These just got put into storage but I can take more pics soon if interested. -Where would the numbers be stamped? I can check that but I want to know where exactly to look. -Just short blocks now. I do have some heads for the EA71 that look almost new also I would throw in (don't know if the heads are the same on these two motors) -I don't know enough to tell if its closed or open. Hopefully with these bigger images linked you can see what you need. Or if you've got a bit more info I would answer whatever other questions you have. I would definitely be interested in selling the EA63 as I have nothing it could go in.
  4. I’ve been sitting on these a while and I’m not sure if I want to sell them yet but I don’t want to know what they’re worth. I have an ea63 and an ea71 which appear (to me at least) to be unused motor blocks. I want to know what anyone thinks they’re worth. Heres a link to bigger images. https://flic.kr/s/aHsmGDaaGH
  5. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzNYm-0SC_RYSnVCcEw2dnFGaHc Brats Should be Similar to the wagons. This link has all of the diagrams I have.
  6. Ordered a whole felpro gasket kit from rock auto... figure i might as well do everything. Any tips on cleaning valves and pistons? Also the head studs are very very grimy. Do people typically replace them on these motors? If not any recommendations for cleaning?
  7. Well we found the problem in case anyone was still following... doesn't look good!
  8. Oh alternator has been tested and passed
  9. So here's the low down... 79 brat with the Webber carb. We have replaced the voltage regulator, fuel pump, dist cap and rotor, plugs and wires, and cleaned out the gas tank and put fresh fuel in it. Where we stand... She turns over but the fuel pump never even seems to get power nor will it start with starting fluid in the carb. When it is turned over I get some pops and flames from various points in the intake manifold or out the top of the carb. I know we are getting sparks to the plugs but I don't know much else. What's the next step? I can grab some pics and maybe even a video later tonight if that helps anyone but were stumped right now. I've gotta get this running so we can start on brat no. 2!
  10. Bring this back up to the top in case anyone else has any or even any others that would work?
  11. No worries. Let me know when you get a chance. I need a set pretty bad! Thanks!
