  1. Thanks for the heads up guys....ill try the either the MWE or used Cory
  2. Damn CV axle crapped out on me. So im looking at replacements. OEM are like $250 and OE replacement ones are like $75....is there a $175 diffrence for a reason or just because its a OEM Part Thanks Cory
  3. went with the import experts kit....will report back with any problems...thank you for the great discussion...
  4. not to hijack a thread, but why get anything but liablity on a $650 dollar car....put your insurance payments in a bank for 6 months and youve more than paid for the car....i have a $5000 car and dont get full coverage...
  5. i forget about the search feature... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=91228&highlight=shop+portland is he good with new gen stuff too? Cory
  6. Looking for a knowledgeable affordable subaru only shop for my 2002 legacy in Portland area..i live 45miles North of Downtown Portland, OR so whatever is closest and best... thanks Cory
  7. buy a $2500 subaru and make it yours...save your money then buy whatever you want. At a screaming rate of 5% paying on an 18,000 car for 5 years your looking at paying $1000 or more a year for the priveledge to have your car early plus $400 a month over insurance which is $5000 a year if you saved that money you would have $18000 in 3 years....be patient. 2 years less more money and paid cash...its worth the wait trust me...
  8. Thanks for the input. Nipper, not being impatient...just judging from the fact that i didnt have 6or7 posts right away about one or the other then it didnt really matter.... you know if i posted about if i should use an OEM or aftermarket timing belt the response id get...cheers
  9. hmm seems like it doesnt matter since i there is no passionate response either way..
  10. i would bet on the battery...i let my legacy sit for about 4 months one time and it took a new battery and about 2min of turning over for all the systems to charge and it to run
  11. You can do what i did and do an AT/MT swap....manuals are better anyway but seriously its your duty C or clutch pack..... Good luck
  12. Got at P0340 Cam position sensor code and am going to replace the sensor. I see 16 diffrent brands as well as the OE one ranging from $32 to $85. Seems to me that the magnetic sensor either works or it doesnt.... So any thoughts or discussion on wether OEM or Bosch or X brand is better when it comes to sensors? Cory
  13. just to wrap this up....i had a crack in the plastic coolant housing in the radiator...sucking up air and creating an air pocket....a new radiator fixed the problem...
