I guess, but now, since Subaru put it on the bottom, you have to take off the skidplates, put the car on a hoist or ramps, drain out the fluid, and then refill it. As opposed to just popping off the housing if it was placed on the upper rad house, and replace the thermostat and bolt it back up.

I'll second that on the JVC. I have had the KDS-770 and the 890 and both have worked well with the subby wiring harness spliced in, then it is a simple plug and play. Aftermarket speakers work nice to, I have the factory tweeters in the doors pillar still. Out of all the decks I have owned, alpine, kenwood, sony, MEI, rockford, the JVC has been great.

Like the title states, can anyone point me in the direction of a PDF or scan of the schematic showing the area where this thing is? I thought it would be right off the upper rad house, but that seems to disappear somewhere under the intake runners. I am lost. Thanks for the help in advance.

well, after an overwhelming stint at trying to get my hands on a factory CD player for a decent price, I have opted into a brand new JVC KDS-890 MP3 player for the legacy. It seems everyone wants to dis the factory setup until it comes time to sell one, then everyone seems to think they are actually worth something. I mean, these setups are going for over 100 US dollars on Ebay! Was up with that? Anyway, I have a player now, and it works great, sounds great with the aftermarket speakers, but now I just can't get over the display, it seems you really cannot get a decent player for around 200 bucks without either red or blue lights, flashing around like 1990's nintendo game. Ah, I guess that is the trend. Try putting an aftermarket player in the console of the 2005 forester or outback! Now there is a challenge to make it look good. Does anyone have the factory CD player for the 95 Legacy? I have the radio AM/FM part, but I have no CD player. I would appreciate it if someone had a good working player for a reasonable price. Thanks

thanks all, one other question, what would be the best budget minded mods to perform to this 2.2? Would a decent set of plugs, and a free flowing intake do the trick of livening up this motor? I have all that sensor stuff on the intake, where does all that go when you install an aftermarket air intake? Thanks for the help.

Hello All, Just bought a 1995 Legacy LS Wagon, automatic, loaded, with 180,00kilometres on the clock. Previous owners took very good care, transmission fluid is pink as a rose. Question though, since it was bought from a dealer, and he does not know when the last time the Timing belt was changed. Can someone point me in the right direction of pics or info on how to change it. And cost, if done in Canada. Thanks, Talk to you all later.
