  1. Apperantly my driver's side fog lamp got shattered from a rock or something and now I need a new one any Dallas/Ft Worth area Subie owner's know where to get a replacement? Or online perhaps? This is in case the fixes i"ve read about on the board don't work. thanks in advance
  2. I also have that same noise with my '98 Outback. Shortly after I bought the car (4 years ago) the dealer replaced the transfer clutch(es). It drove and turned fine and quiet until a few thousand miles later the noise and vibration returned. So now I'm faced with this issue again with the dealer telling me it's the transfer clutch(es) again. I am going to replace my filter and fluid this next week to see if that will fix it like STEVE D. IS THERE ANY TIPS AND TRICKS I SHOULD KNOW BEFORE I DIVE INTO THIS? OR CAN SOMEONE POST POINTERS ON SWAPPING THE AT FILTER AND FLUID? Any help and wisdom would be tremendously appreciated for I love my Subie and don't want to permanently hurt her.
  3. Great! I live in Arlington, so I'll check out that Impreza club...you think they'll except an Outback driver/owner? I have has less than reputable experience with Arl. AutoMall just this week and that's why I am looking for an independent. However, I am not totally opposed to going to a dealership because working with the previous crew at Arl. AutoMall I was satisfied. I would also be more than happy to get your opinion on what's going on with my Outback...817 658.2376. Thanks!
  4. This looks like a great place for Subaru owners. Glad to be here. I have owned an '88 DL (300,000+ mi.) and now own a '98 Outback (122,000mi. and still going). I am now looking for a Dallas/Ft Worth, Texas area mechanic for a knocking/clacking in my axle/transmission area...any suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
