  1. not exactly sure what the problem was. now it starts up and runs. but with a very high idle. usally around 2,000. i tried to adjust the distriubator and the idle sensior. neither will lower or raiser the idle. i took off the rotor and replaced it with another. and same with the idle sensior. but still nothing. vacuum leak was my guess too. replaced all hoses and the spfi boot.

  2. i took out the motor in my 91 loyale to replace head gaskets. when we got everything put back together, it ran for a few minutes, then started cutting out.

    checked the timing, spark, distributor, gas lines, air.

    pretty much everything. no clue where to look next.... :confused:

    it will start and idle (rough), but once you give it a little gas the car will die right away.

     

    any ideas?

  3. living in the states is not the best.

    i baught a JDM engine to replace my 2.5 RS engine, (i broke 2 rods by suckin up water into my cold air intake.) the listing said for a 2.0 turbo engine, when it arived it was in fact a twin turbo. just saying be careful before ordering one of these. better off buying an american motor, once a JDM engine fails, parts are hard to locate.

  4. i have an JDM 2.0 twin turbo engine sitting around my place. first i was thinking about building a sandrail, then the wild idea of putting this engine into either a loyale or a GL. with of course a 6 speed tranny. :grin:

    everything looks like it would fit nicely, although im not 100% on that. does anyone know for sure? :confused:

    fitting in both turbos will be a little tricky. concedering that the right side down pipe will run into the steering coloum. but luckily i have a pipe bender and a welder.

  5. recently i bought a 91 subaru loyale with an EA82, my plans are to install a turbo of some kind and an sjr lift :banana:. some questons i have been wondering are

    how many lbs of boost can actually be run through my motor without cracking my block?

    what is the best kind of turbo to get?

    and

    how exactly can you make toyota 6 lug fit on my wagon?
