  1. 1993 legacy wagon. Brake light and battery light come on at same time and then go away and come back again seemingly randomly. I tested battery with engine off and it read 12.7 volts. With engine on, it read 14 volts, but periodically while idling, engine would make a light click noise and the voltage would quickly go down to 13 and quickly climb back up to 14. And when I turned engine off, voltage went back down to 12.7 but after only half a minute or so went to 18 and stayed there for roughly 10-20 minutes before returning to around 12.6. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Local shop just recommended this. However another shop a while back told me not to worry about it because they said they had never seen one fail. Just wondering if anybody could explain it to me a little better. Is it something that should be replaced if recommended? This shop that just recommended it is the second shop over the years to tell me to get it done. What are the implications if not done? Just trying to understand. Thanks.
  3. Just replaced this on my car. And I was wondering if somebody could tell me how much you should tighten it? I noticed it got quite difficult to keep tightening and there was still exposed threads. So I just stopped there and left it snug. Thanks.
