Evaporator Core Woes '82 Brat
Yeah you're right it's the condenser core.. thanks for the correction. Good thing too, sounds like its a hell of a lot easier to change than the evap core.

Evaporator Core Woes '82 Brat
So I was working my way around the a/c system to see where I need to change o-rings etc so I can get it working again when I came across this: This is the hose that goes to/from the compressor itself. I want to know if I should super glue that sucka back on or if I need to start looking for a new core. Any advice would rock. Thanks, David

What is this?
So I was just poking around in the engine bay (EA81, 82 brat) this afternoon and I saw this thing: The tube coming from it wasn't hooked up to anything and when I moved the tube around it began clicking and sounded like a relay or something. What is this? And do I need to connect it somewhere? Thanks, David

Stop Lamp Troubleshooting
Hey everybody, just got an '82 BRAT about a month ago and so I am new to the forum! I have been trying to find out why my stop lamp light is on. A couple weird things are happening: When the running lights are off, the stop lamp light is off until I press on the brakes then it goes on. Both filaments in the brake light bulb go on, and the front corner lights and dash lights also light up and the clock dims. When the running lights are on, the stop lamp light remains on until I hit the brakes. When i hit the brake pedal the stop lamp light turns off and there is very little difference between the brightness of the brake lights and the running lights because, again, both filaments are lit up when the running lights are on. All of my lights do work, so I'm lost as to what the issue could be. Any ideas?? Thanks for the input! David
