  1. Thanks so much for the replies. I am going to take a second look again tomorrow and hopefully get some photos up in case someone else has the same problem as me.
  2. I feel really foolish asking for help on what should be a simple procedure. But, I figure its better to ask than to leak any (more) r134 while trying to recharge my a/c. I bought one of those basic kits from Target with the can and the gauge. However, it does not seem to fit on the port. When I try to get it to attach it just releases some refrigerant from the car. Am I missing something really obvious? There are two blue caps on my car, the port under one does not come close to fitting. The other fits but does not lock on at all.
  3. I think I phrased that wrong, I meant, I am going to ask them if they have that kit in the 2.5, not "I am asking" as if I expected someone to get the answer for me, whoops. Called in this morning and got a gentleman whose accent I could not comprehend at all, so I am sending a parts request form email.
  4. That seller you recommended looks like he has the best deal available, but it is for the 2.2 only. I am asking if he has the same one as here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-1996-Subaru-Legacy-Impreza-Master-Timing-Belt-Kit_W0QQitemZ390176235967QQ but in a 2.5. Thanks for all the advice!
  5. I wont post the actual link since I am new here, but there is an kit for sale with the following below for $187 shipped. Does anyone think it is a good deal? The listing mentions that a hydraulic tensioner is not included. Do I need one for a '96 legacy outback with the 2.5? "1 Timing Belt (281 teeth) 1 Tensioner (bearing) 2 Upper Idler (bearing) 1 Lower Idler (sprocket with bearing) 1 GMB Water Pump This listing includes all the parts (i.e. front/cam seal(s),belt(s), roller tensioner, water pump, etc.) required for a complete timing belt/water pump change."
