  1. it is an auto 1992 GT Legacy. Just figured someone might know something, my research has got me no where.
  2. Hello all, I have a BC5 Legacy which I am currently running a TD05 Turbo on. Recently I picked up a manifold and split fuel rails from a GTB Legacy and am looking at installing it into my car. The fuel rails have the yellow top injectors from the GTB in them. What problems can i expect to run into or will this just be a straight swap and away I go? I'm still learning about all this so any help would be much appreciated thanks. Further from this, just to pick someones brain, I have been having a issue randomly pop up once every few months where when I turn the key nothing happens. If I walk away for 5mins then try it again it starts first pop. Past this sometimes I have to have my key turned for 3-4seconds before the car turns over/does anything. I'm sure someone must have some insight into this, in the last year I've had a new barrell put in the car and had my coil pack replaced. Also recently the cars revs will sometimes drop a few hundred then come back up when it is below 2k revs driving along, but is fine if your above 2k. At times it dies when you slow down and stop and soemtimes when driving it will start running rough and sounding terrible. When this happens I will pull over and stop the car, when I go to restart it doesn't sound healthy but with a bit of gas it starts back up and will run fine from then on. I've been told I need to look at replacing my AFM/Knock Sensor and Cam/Crank Sensors but I just thought I'd ask if anyone else has experienced something similar before.
  3. Hi all, I currently own an auto 1992 RS Legacy. The issue I am experiencing at the moment is when I am cruising in the car I find that my revs will drop a couple of hundred then couple back up, sometimes repeatedly for a few seconds. I have no issues when accelerating, only when cruising. Further from this I have noticed that it has started idling at lower revs in drive, (about 500 when it used to be about 1000). I recently had to change the rubber pipe off the top of my blow of valve because it had a split, (this is the pipe I have my T joiner inserted into, with pipes off it into the manifold and boost gauge). This issue has basically cropped up since then. Also before this issues began, I find that where my turbo would usually kick in, (about 3800revs) that it now doesn't really feel like it is doing anything. My car still gets up to and sits at 8psi on my boost gauge, but it just doesn't have the same kick that it had. If anyone could give me any insight into these issues or wants anymore information then it would be much appreciated!
  4. So the mechanic couldn't find anything wrong with the turbo. I had a couple of blowen fuses, (for the intereior lights/turbo timer) which were replaced and when I got it back the car appeared to be back running perfectly fine again, (turbo was working). 2 days later and the same problems popped back up... Car feels like it's running fine and pressure looks good on the boost gauge, but you can't feel anything from the turbo...
  5. Never considered the cat. I think there is a faint sound of air hissing driving at higher revs, but to be honest I'm not sure. Booked it into the mechanics tomorrow
  6. Yeah I thought stock was 8 but it has been running at 10 up until this issue popped up. Everything is stock factory except for the fact i've upgraded the turbo. Also noticed my turbo timer is no longer turning on =\
  7. Hi, I have a 1992 subaru legacy running a td05 turbo setup. For the last week I've noticed on the vehcile when you put your foot down the turbo doesn't feel to be kicking in at all or at the very least it's unoticable what it's doing. Further from this I've noticed the PSI on my boost gauge isn't getting up as high, where as before it was running up to 10 it now only gets to about 7. The car seems to be running perfectly fine and I have no others issues except for what's stated above. If anyone could offer any insight on the subject it would be much appreciated... Cheers!
  8. how hard would it be to fit a '97 gtb gearbox and clutch setup fit into a '92 legacy gt? (BC5)
  9. Sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm having exactly the same issues with my '92 GT Legacy, (2L). Anyone have any ideas what the root of the issue is? Also I don't know if this is related but last night when I first turned the car on I flicked on the AC only to have the idle turn ruff/revs dropped and the car just felt like it was about to stall. Any insight would be much appreciated!
  10. I have an auto '92 gt legacy and I'm just wondering if someone could please advise me what sort of rpm range the car should be idling?
  11. Yeah it is the 2.0L Turbo. My bad!
  12. I've just purchased a Subaru Legacy 1992 GT. Currently it's running a transplant engine out of a '97 Forrester. I'm looking at investing some money into the car & run the old engine before I rebuild it with forged parts. At the moment I'm looking at putting in a TD06H 20g turbo (oil and water cooled) along with an upgraded top mount + auto water misting kit & a V8 STI bonnet scoop to increase air flow. From here I plan to put in a 550HP Walbro fuel pump with a 2L Surge tank, high flow fuels rail and 550cc Injectors. Just looking for peoples thoughts on this setup and any suggestions from here!
