  1. water pump bearing went up assuming that's what caused the belt to break, tore it back apart today i cant see the best but the marks look right .Took some pics if i can figure out how to post
  2. thanks for the map i messed up the first time but i think i have it right this time its a1990 2.2 legacy thanks for the help but is there any other reason it wont start that i dont know about spark i pulled plugs fuel is the pressure at the filter enough to verify that thanks
  3. need help spent $400 last week because of a blow n go 2 tow jobs and a lock out code 90 legacy 295k gotta make 300k me and dw and dog coming home from dinner car dies pull over try to start get that no compression sound thinking timing belt .Tear apart was a water pump[bads] caused timing belt issue miss blow n go reading car is locked out .My fought im old cant see put belt on use arrow on crank gear [bbrrrr] wrong dummy pay $50bucks to blow n go people for a lock out code good for 4 hrs car docent start .Find pictures w hat i did wrong .Tear back apart put together crank gear mark at 12[arrows at 3 have to have towed to blow n go place to avoid a violation you cant try to start it push it in blow n go place they read it thinking im cool im driving home it dosent start have to have towed home again its getting spark as far as fuel i undid hose on fuel filter its right there it had pressure any ideas what it could be thanks bill
  4. i did drain and change the fluid twice never pulled the pan wont shift out of 1st unless you feather the gas or push the manual button then shifts normally .I think reading man button locks out 1st an od once out of 1st man button off it shifts normally thru gears and into od but it doesn't engage i guess the right word does have 285k on it

  6. i have been on car-part closest motor in pa 64 miles closest head philly 102 miles 2.2 parts 20 miles why are these parts so hard to find ? messed up everybody thanks for the help

  8. hi folks need some quick help here my daughter has a 92 loyale 1.8 front wheel drive 3 speed auto wagon . she blew up dont ask long story . pulled motor out to put head gaskets on both heads have little visible cracks between the valves cant find a junk yard 1.8 motor or heads any closer then 179 miles from here 2.2s are every ware as close as 20 miles the question is can you put 2.2 heads on the 1.8 block or just put a 2.2 in it with out having to change a bunch of stuff thanks any info appreciated bill

Fellas i own a 90 legacy wagon 15 yrs 275k miles my daughter blew up her first car of 5 years 93 loyale wagon great car she f-up shes looking at a 03 legacy 4 door sedan ad says needs crank shaft im thinking needs motor any help on what year motors will work thanks any help or why ad says crank shaft thanks again

  11. have been searching for side window deflectors [vent visor]for a 90 legacy wagon must not make them anybody know of another year make or model car or truck that will fit .......... window cracked wiper swipes wet leg thanks

  15. assembling 4 new 96 0utback struts to put on a 90 air ride legacy so I have no parts { if I understand correctly 96-98 outback should work is any year better then the other I noticed some different part # } since ordering all new ordering 2 front , 2 rear springs 2front kyb struts and mounts 2rear kyb struts and mounts, 4 bellows I believe they come with bumpers, top and bottom rubber gaskets for the spring perches then the Subaru parts for you diagram gets a little fuzzy can anybody think of any other parts I need , This stuff is gonna cost almost as much as i paid for the car. But I couldn’t off it sitting like it is for nothing so I guess it is what it is thanks bill
  16. hey man how ya doin wonder if you can help me out been looking for the parts and cant find ************ .was goin go the route of the outback springs and struts .Was gonna order new outback springs from subie like 60 a piece kyb struts and mounts they list a couple different mounts modifiy the rear mounts what ever i had to do do you know of what othermisc parts i need to put these struts and springs together or is every thing included in the mounts thanks baltimore

  17. pretty sweet looking i wanted to go new so I don't have to be messing with the stuff if i had to by new struts and springs i was thinking i my as well go for the lift just trying to get a parts list together
  18. so I need 90 legacy top strut mounts front and rear {top hats } for a none air suspension legacy wagon

I understand the disclaimer it dosen't have springs its strut like thing with a air bag at the top i did unplug the ride height fuse so the compressor dosent come on but the dash light still flashes {You will need to get the appropriate tophats - the ones from the airstruts wont work} do you mean the top strut mount and do I need them for the year of the car or the year of the new struts thanks all

  21. thanks for the reply it does have abs so if I order 96-98 Outback struts matching springs and matching year rear top strut strut mounts I should be good to go have a long commute to work and the 84 chevy van aint cutting it the subbie is the newest car I have ever owned and it is like a cadiliac it has all the bells and whistles for its time
