  1. Advice on knocking noise 87 GL Wagon

    jaywede posted a topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
    I have a 1987 gl wagon, 5 speed, carb, no turbo, and it has developed a loud knocking noise. It sounds like the lifters and the prev. owner said it can do this time to time. I changed the oil, put in 10w-40, and It still knocks. Does anyone have any ideas about quick fixing this prob. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jay
