  1. AT OIL TEMP light

    Hello all- I am new to the forum, and have a question about my 1996 Subaru Outback AWD: The other day I started the car and after about 30 seconds the "AT OIL TEMP" light started blinking and the engine shut off as I was driving. I waited a few minutes, and started the car again with no problem. However, the "AT OIL TEMP" light now comes on whenever I start the car, then quickly turns off. I have noticed that the car seems to have lost a bit of power/pick-up since this incident. Also, whenever I use the windshield wiping fluid, I can smell it (or at least an alcohol smell) inside the car - which has never happened before. Are all these incidents related? Does anyone have an idea of what the problem is? ATF? Filter? I'd greatly appreciate suggestions.... Thanks
