  1. So a while ago when i went wheelen through the trails and lots of puddles, it got dark by the time i left. I turned my headlights on, and whenever i would switch from high beams down to low beams, they would hesitate for about two-three seconds before turning on. This eventually got worse and started becoming five to seven seconds to turn on. And now tonight the low beams finally decided to not turn on at all anymore. Again, high beams work just fine, so im getting power. but my low beams are not working at all. I checked all the fuses for the heck of it, but i know thats not going to be it, otherwise they wouldnt work at all. So, what should i be looking at?? PLEASE help. i need to see without blinding everyone. Thanks, subi_dude
  2. Quick question...or two.. What is the difference between a LSD and a VLSD, whats the V ?? Also, my GL-10 Has a 3.90 diff, and my question is, ARE all 3.90 LSD's?? Cause my diff doesnt feel like it is locking up when its slipping when im wheeling... therefore im assuming that not all 3.90's are LSD's. PLEASE let me know. i want an LSD, and need to know if i already have one or not before i go buy another diff.. Thanks, subi_dude
  3. yes, the shop that i had do the bearings JUST 2 MONTHS AGO, DIDNT even put the outer seals on either side!!! so im going to have to go talk to the shop and get some of my money back. cause that is just rediculous! how do you miss such a thing?

  5. so i just got allthe new bearings in the hub...got the seals in. BUT...when i startputting everything back on the outer seal keeps popping out. and when i started tearing everything down, the outer bearing was the bad one. the seal wasnt even there from when ihad a shop do them. so what im asking is, what can i do to keep that bearing from slipping out, cause if i put everything back together. its jus going to slip out and im going to lose another seal and eventually a bearing .. PLEASE help... need to get done today
  6. Ok so im going to check the power connection to the motor in the morning. I JUST WANTED TO THROW THIS OUT THERE. THAT, when my car was in the shop to get my rear bearings worked on a couple of months ago. I had asked them to figure out how much it would be to have them buy a new blower motor and replace it. THEY told me after parts and labor, it would end up being $400 bucks!!!! Can you beleive that!! What a rip!! took me a half an hour to take everything off, replace the part, and put everything back together!!! Just wanted everyone to know how rediculous i thought that was. lol thanks, subi dude
  7. 7 views and no replies?? does no one know?
  8. ok, i tried looking up some threads on the blower motor problems, but couldnt really find anything that sounded like my situation.. so my heater gets hot(it works). and about 6 months ago my blower motor stop working.. i finally got a new one and when i installed it, nothing happened. i read some threads that said some people had one speed working, which if i remember correctly means its the connection of some kind. BUT, when mine went out, none of the speeds worked at all, and i checked all the fuses, still nothing. Again, i have two new motors that i tried plugging in and still nothing. Any other tips i can get to check??? thanks, subi dude
  9. So my clutch cable broke in half the other day. And when i was taking it off i couldnt find any other way to get the pedal end of the wire off without taking off the entire clutch pedal.. So im just making sure that i didnt remove anything that im not going to be able to re-install. doesnt look like it to me. but just making sure. thanks, subi dude
  10. NEVERMIND.... just figured it out. simple as pulling a pin. literaly..

  12. o yea. trans leaks fluid by the way. lol
  13. oh yea. trans is working out fine so far. just wish someday i could find one thats decently easy to shift, ya know? thanks for the advice everyone. picked up the tool, was able to turn one piston easily, the other i spun for an hour and it wouldnt go any further. SO, picked up a new caliper today. yay, another 70 bucks. subi dude p.s. If i need help again, should i just post my questions on this thread or make a new one. dont want to be annoying.
  14. so i have an 88 GL-10 in which im replacing the brake pads. i got everything off and have new pads, but i cant get the calipers to compress to get the new pads in. i have the master cylinder cap off to see if it helps when using the C clamp to try compressing them, with no luck. Any other tricks you can recommend me trying?? trying to get this done today, so any fast news really helps. Thanks, subi dude
  15. how the hell did you get an EA82 to put out 200HP!!
  16. just making sure. when i do a EJ swap, am i going to be able to hook up the power steering and A/C? sorry if all these questions get annoying. just need to know before i spend $1000+ thanks, subi_dude
  17. i currently have four of these wheels on my subaru and am looking for one or two more for matching spare. i am ONLY looking for this exact wheel, i am not interested in buying any sets. the wheel measures non deap dish, 15in by 7in. if you do not have one to sell, and you know where or if there is a website i can get one from. please let me know
  18. yes, i know that. but im asking if it will work if i was to put the rear air shocks back in and rewire it all. but ONLY the back. like, does the front have to be wired also in order for it all to work properly?
  19. I have an 88 GL wagon that was origonaly a GL-10. it had the height control on it along with the normal GL-10 accessories. turbo, sunroof, power everything, etc.... when it was converted to a GL, it had a 2 inch lift installed. so the height control had to come off im guessing. but it seems like the HC could still work for the back suspension. So, is it possible to still have my height control on the back suspention? and work? lol cause im sure everyone will agree, rear end sag sucks! thanks
  20. I am looking to do an EJ swap in my 88 gl wagon soon… and I'm wondering if I wanted to pay someone to do all the required wiring and to do a clean, no messes job. How much would someone be willing to do it for? I live in tacoma and I believe I have all the tools needed for the work. Thanks, austin
  21. looking to do an EJ swap on my EA82. sorry if this gets annoying, but i need a good opinion. can anyone tell me what i should ask this guy? maybe about certain parts that are required for the swap? then i will keep everyone that helps notified so you can tell me what to offer. thanks LINK - ( http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/cto/2370230172.html )
  22. should i buy both and see if i can re-sell the trans for $300?
  23. I want to do an EJ swap on my GL. i am looking for a cheap engine. i found this 2.2 for sale but it doesn't run. prob a stupid question, but can anybody tell me what the worst case senario might be, or how much it would be for a complete rebuild. LINK - http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/pts/2361230848.html
  24. All together, with everything required for a EA to EJ swap. If you dont mind me asking, what did most of you spend on everything you needed for an 2.2 swap? Or maybe tell me what i'd be spending. i have a 88 GL wagon, wanting a EJ22. thanks
