  1. Help with Knocking Noise (Rear End)

    I have a 1987 Subaru GL. When I drive it has a knocking type noise that speeds up with my speed. I checked the CV Joints and they feel and look good. I'm too cheap to take it to a shop and usually I have no problem with basic mechanics but this whole independent suspension stuff has got me all thrown off. She's my first Soobie and I'd like to keep her on the road. Thanks for any and all help. Sorry if I sound like a noob. I swear I'm not typically but Soobies seem to be their very own breed.
