Need to ID tranny i bought on craigs list as it is not the right one for my 2003 forester and i need to sell as seller will not refund money. Tranny was rebuilt from subaru with zero miles and no serial number. Are there any other ways to ID tranny?

disconnected battery and still flashing after hooked back up..car drives but does not shift..seems to be in 2nd or 3rd gear..bought off craigs list..I know you dont have to say it people..lol

Original prob was a bad front diff confirmed by tranny shop

There was no sticker with trans number on bell housing..was removed when rebuilt by subaru..it drives only with all the error codes..

Need wiring diagram 2003 forester automatic tranny..need to move pins around as tranny we put in must be different from orig one we replaced..we pulled codes on new tranny and they say open or short circuit..pressure control solenoid A & B..Shift /timing solenoid.. pressure control solenoid..shift solenoid A & B..Or is this just the wrong tranny for this car?

sany chance it could be the hall effect sensor at the rear of trans? it sends signal to ECU for speedo and if the ECU does not see the signal it go into limp mode..will pull old off old tranny to see if that works..

As far as i know this tranny is for a 2003 was rebuilt by subaru..Tranny does drive and shift..No odd sounds..I do still have old tranny as it was driving when pulled out had a bad front Diff. Thanks for any help :0)

Just installed new rebuilt automatic tranny for my 03 forester..trans control module is in limp mode. do i need to reset the ECU using a scan tool or what??

2003 Forester Automatic Non Turbo Transmission

Looking for a used Automatic tranny for my 2003 non turbo Forester. Do any other years interchange with the 2003 Forester as i am having hard time finding any info.. TIA DC100

Driver side heated seat in my 03 forester doesnt work. Connections are fine. anything else i could check? Dealer said it was the element in the seat. How would you replace this? I've searched the forums to no avail. TIA for your help.
