  1. alright, so now i've got the line going to the canister behind strut tower coming from a "T" that i put inline with the intake manifold runner. with that line going to #1 on the canister i had the same problem of no movement on interior vents. so I switched it to going to #2 on the canister. now I have movement on the interior vents BUT ONLY when i accelerate...... ?? any ideas on that....
    thanks in advance

  2. hey guys! got my ej22 swap complete and am lovin how she drives!

I am curious as to what everyone has done for getting a good vacuum for the heater controls? I hooked up what i thought might be sufficient but I can't change the control from anything other than the mid dash vents, to say the most important defrost.

any input and ideas are greatly appreciated!

    thanks in advance,

    Ryan

  3. hey man its super easy. Rally armor makes a "basic mud flap" its really cheap and come nice and big and can be trimmed to whatever size you want. pull off the stock mudflaps and there is a lil lip that is perfect to attach the RA flaps with a couple self tapping srews and washers. super easy, cheap, and look filthy!

  4. hey guys lookin for a lil advice here. workin on startin an ej22 swap into my 88 gl and am wondering if the original single row radiator will provide sufficient cooling or if its better to go with a 2 row that would require some modification to move the original mounting holes on the car to fit the different radiator?

    thanks guys,

  5. hey guys lookin for a lil help here. i recently lifted the ea82 with a 4"SJR and am trying to find good tires for it. I got a good deal on some 15" wheels so all im missin is the rubber. I see alotta you guys runnin tsl's and ssr's and ext's and all/mud terrains and the like. where are you all acquiring these tires?? I am havin alotta trouble locating any aggressive tread thats smaller than 31"....... I hear I can fit up to about a 29" but would like more of a 26-27 range so that the ea82 can still turn em. I know we don't want too much discussion on this page so feel free to just PM me any info. thank you

  6. i didnt get the boots. probably should have but at the time ive been puttin alotta money into it and was avoiding extra costs. haha probably worth it in the end all things considered. yeah the compressor from oreilly works however lemme tell ya in advance that the fronts are easy however you will have fun with the back ones! hahah yeah its a very tight fit to get the clamps in and whatnot. can't describe how nice it is to not have the "bam" anymore!!

  7. rcrad4, I contacted kyb and they said they don't carry the shocks for my 85 ea82 wagon. It is 4wd. Can you give me a part # you used for your 88. Was it 4wd? Did you replace front & rear?

yeah its 4wd. I replaced all 4. ordered through justsuspension.com with free shipping for 181 to my door in a week.

    KYB part numbers Fronts - 233022 233023

    Backs - 341065

Hope that helps ron! keep us posted :drunk:

  8. I am replacing the oil pump gaskets on my '88 ea82. I got the beck arnley brand seal kit. the o-ring fits great, as does the seal inside the pulley system. however the main gasket which seals off the edge does not fit well. it is too large. seems like a quality control error and there is just too much material to fit down into the place for the gasket to rest. has anyone experienced similar problems either with the specific gasket or just in general with beck arnley? any solutions to the problem other than just returning it and trying another one? What about just using rtv silicone to seal it?

    Thanks guys!
