  1. Do you happen to know what summit's part no. is that you used? There is 4 or 5 differnet no's.
  2. Yes cones are on both sides. Noise sounds like something hits both shoes, thus a double clicking noise. Pulled both drums, sounds like passenger side, and found nothing wrong. No scratches, burrs, on both the drum or the shoe. Is it possible that the noise is coming from the brake adjuster?
  3. My 92 loyale SW makes a clicking noise from the rear drums when brakes are applied. Recently installed new brake drums and shoes. When brakes are applied there is a double clicking noise. As soon as brakes are released no noise. I pulled drums everything looked all right. Any one know what could be wrong?
  4. In between, Normal take off. I don't think it's capable of squealing tires. Mostly highway driving.
  5. What kind of gas mileage is expected from a 92 loyale SW? Has 1.8L engine with 3spd auto trans. 4WD. Getting around 23 mpg now. Also I keep losing a quart of oil every other gas fill up. No oil drips under car. I have let the car run idleing and no oil. Doesn't appear to be burning either. Car has 108,000 miles on it. Any help appreciated. So far noticed all replies have 5 speeds. Anyone have 3spd auto's with mpg results. Forgot to mention its fuel injected.
  6. Hello. I just acquired a 92 loyale SW 1800 engine with a 3 spd auto trans. When I an going 55 mph my tach shows 3500 rpm, and when I am going 65 my tach shows 4000 rpm. This seems high to me. I have the correct 13" tires. Any suggestions would help. Verkaylak

  8. Hello. I just acquired a 92 loyale SW. It has the 1800 engine with a 3 spd auto trans and AWD. When I go 55 mph the tach reads 3500 and when I go 65 the tach reads 4000 rpm. This seems to high to me. The 13" tires are correct. The trans. is shifting right. When I shift the trans. manually the trans shifts to the next gear. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Verkaylak
