  1. A couple of things, : 1. What's IAC? (I'm unfamiliar with the acronyms, I was a VW mechanic in the 1970's but not up to date on the lingo). 2. My '99 Legacy has been acting similarly, when first started it idles very low and a little rough, will stall at the first couple of lights or stop signs, then its ok. Subaru dealer did fuel injector service, replaced coil and dist. cap and a couple of wires, which took care of all the codes but no change on the initial problem. They replaced an O2 sensor and it SEEMS to be a little better (its stalled twice in a week and a half vs. every day). I've seen a couple of references to TPS sensors and possibly a factory recall for them but haven't been able to confirm it yet. 3. I have replace ALL FOUR wheel bearings in the past 20k miles (its got 149,000 on it). but the drive train whines loudly in lower gears. I wonder if this is old age, the Subaru dealer had it for week and test drove it a lot trying to dx the other problem and never commented on this noise. Anyway I just found this site and this is my first post.
