  1. Alright thx guys, that will be the route i take then. I've always been kinda annoyed at the idea of putting a suby so low to the ground...can't really beat the elements when ur scrapping the pavement...and they don't need them the stock suspension on my brothers impreza along with the awd it gripped ten times better than anything id ever driven.
  2. Have a legacy with agx adjustable struts and some type of serious lowering springs on it. I've owned lowered cars before, and don't really find it necessary for my daily driver. I would like to set the car up to be a decent performer on loose surface such as dirt, snow, etc. I have done some research and found out that running the AGX shocks with the stock springs won't bring up any issues but I would like to know if anyone has tried this setup and if they could tell me anything about what the handling characteristics are like as far as body roll, bump absorption, understeer/oversteer, etc. Going back to stock ride height just seems like a good idea here in MN. Or if anyone just has some input on what they THINK the suspension setup will do, id appreciate that as well.
  3. Haha alright thanks guys, I will probably look into cams then, that is something I could tackle before winter hits while im still driving my camaro. I do have a 96 impreza 2.2 in the back that we have retired to a life as our backyard rally machine, engine has 212k but feels stronger than this legacy, might pull that engine and build it to drop in if that is all kosher.
  4. Alright well that would be definately something to look into in the long haul when the 2.2 is looking weak but its only got a 101k on it now and I don't wanna tear into it that deep just yet, any way to pull just a hair more power out of the block I already have?
  5. Hello all, new to the forum. Long time subaru lover, potentially first time owner. My brother has a 2.2 legacy that has had some light modding done (ngx adjustable suspention, tower bracing, cai, borla muffler, functional hood scoop, etc.) but the car is a 2.2 and is seriously lacking in the speed dept. I currently daily drive a 1997 camaro 3800 in the summer and the legacy angers me its so clunky feeling, but I am looking at buying it for the harsh winters here in MN. I was wondering if doing an ecu tune would help at all with the power? If so, what kind of ecu can I get? If the ecu won't help, what are some other known options to just pick up the accel a little bit...besides laughing gas or forced induction...since those cost a fortune, or in the case of laughing gas can't be used every day all day. Thanks guys
