  1. I drive a Brat, which I apparently forgot to type the first time. It's not the prettiest thing on the road, but it suits my needs perfectly and gets me where I need to go. @Turbosubarubrat - I don't need any parts at the moment, thank you, but I know where to come when I need some - The Ultimate Subaru Message board!
  2. Thanks for the heads up on the scrap yard. I'll have to check that out if I can find the time to do so...
  3. I have an issue with my door handles on my '82 Brat GL. The interior handle on the driver's side broke on the inside, so I have to roll the window down to open the door in order to exit the vehicle. Not a huge problem, I've been living with it for a while now. However, this morning, the outer handle on the passenger side broke on the inside of the door, so now it will only open from the inside. So, now I'm only one broken handle away from not being able to either enter or exit the vehicle. I'm paranoid that the other outer handle will break and I won't be able to open the doors from the outside at all. I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so, how did they go about fixing it? I assume the simple answer is take apart the door and replace the broken parts... if I can find replacement parts. (I've had to dismantle car doors before and it is no picnic.) If anyone knows a good place for parts online or a decent scrapyard in the PDX area, that information would be greatly appreciated. I haven't gone to my mechanic yet, but that might be the end result...
  4. New to the message board here (even though I joined up over a year ago, this is my first post)... I drive an '82 Subaru GL and I love it! Except when it needs repairs, which is becoming more frequent, I'm afraid... I guess that's why I'm here. Just looking to find good resources for parts and whatnot.
