1993 Subaru Legacy 2.2 AWD
MilesTol replied to MilesTol's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXseems like the airbag is no longer any good, the clock spring as well.... so I am just going to have to go the cheap way cause we live on a budget here with disability, so I have already removed the airbag and threw it away, and the clockspring cause it was broke, we tried to get the airbag to go off but it would not go off at all..... Anyways I am just going to put a regular steering wheel on my 1993 subaru legacy sedan awd 2.2 engine... BUT what I really NEED to know is.. HOW in the world can you get the Airbag light to go off in the column... Here is what I have done so far... air bag and module in steering wheel Gone.... Clockspring Gone..... what connected them is now unconnected.... cause those wires came out with the clock spring. it has two fuses, one you have to leave in case it also controls the car starting.... removed the other fuse for the srs airbag but airbag light still on .... tried resetting like I seen on youtube a video of how to reset the airbag light to go off... That did not work.... I removed three small bulbs out of the column on the dash but airbag light was still coming on..lol Anyone know what wire , relay .. what ever will turn that airbag light off it just irritates me...thanks

1989 Subaru GL Stationwagon
Hello I have a 1989 Subaru 4wd Stationwagon 1.8 engine. Last winter the automatic transmission messed up on this car. SO over the summer I decided to change it over to a Manual Transmission 5 speed transmission. So since winter is close to being here I decided I better drive it to work for a couple days before it snows to see how it does.... as long as you do not use 4wd high or low it does fine turning..... I noticed yesterday driving it when deciding to test 4wd high and low that you can hardly turn around are make sharp turns when 4wd is engaged if not in 4wd then no problem turning in sharp curves or turning around. I had to also switch the driveshaft that goes from the transmission to the rear end I had to put the manual one in since the automatic driveshaft was now to short. I did leave the automatic rear end in the back so Now after that experience I am wondering rather the driveshaft is bad or if the automatic rear end needs to be switched over to the manual one? Any advice on this would b appreciated thank you...
