  1. Hi Daeron I seem to have your cars twin sister out here in Reno. 87 GL-10 SPFI 1.8 with air. This subee has been great till about 6 months ago all kinds of mysterious behavior. Has befallen this creature of 250.000 miles I have read through most of your posts, and you have hit on alot of the problems that I now face. I have finished your post on changing the relays and it makes perfect sense. I am however puzzled about the rewire on the fuel pump relay and your set against it. If you could elaborate on this issue or offer an alternate solution I would be grateful. I do not think I will be able to find the six pin relay that subaru has installed. I have seen the picture of this device and I am guessing that it is not just a relay but a solid state device that also meters fuel flow and feeds back to the ECU taking its ques from the throttle position sensor and crank angle sensor ( I am guessing ) to effect an efficient fuel delivery solution.

  2. Hi . need a quick fix on the easiest way to run a bypass on the fuel relay circuit. I just need to get it home its in Costco's parking lot and I would like to get it 2 miles without calling a tow truck. I don,t think that pulling down the ECU to get to the relay is viable for my situation either. It is to my understanding that when the key is in the run position the positive + is constant and it is the negative - signal sent to the the pump to complete the circuit. If this is true can I just connect a ground wire to the pump and limp it home ?
