i know the sohc has a little higher compression then the dohc. 9.0:1 dohc, and 9.6:1 sohc if i remember right. motor is from a 99 forester btw

i was reading that i would need a phase 1 ej25 block from this thread, http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=95646 just wondering if i could use a '99 ej25 sohc (phase 2 i assume) with '90-'94 ej22 heads?
